# Quickstart

## Step 1: Enter your details

Go to [clearwatch.app](https://clearwatch.app) and enter your website URL and email address.

## Step 2: Verify your email

Check your inbox for a verification email from Clearwatch. Click the link to activate monitoring.

## Step 3: You're done

We'll start checking your site immediately. You'll receive:

* An **instant email** if your site goes down
* A **recovery email** when it comes back up
* A **weekly report** with your uptime summary

## Optional: Verify site ownership

To unlock page discovery (monitoring more than just your homepage), add a verification meta tag to your site. You'll see instructions on the confirmation page after verifying your email, or on your [account page](https://clearwatch.app/manage).
