SSL Monitoring

Coming soon
Clearwatch checks your SSL certificate during every uptime check. If your certificate is about to expire and auto-renewal appears to have failed, we’ll alert you 7 days before expiry.

Why 7 days?

Most hosting providers (Let’s Encrypt, Cloudflare, etc.) auto-renew SSL certificates 30 days before expiry. If your certificate is still expiring at 7 days out, something is wrong and you need to act. This means you won’t get false alarms from normal renewal cycles.

What happens if my SSL expires?

Visitors will see a scary “Your connection is not private” warning in their browser. Most people will leave immediately. Search engines may also drop your rankings.

What should I do if I get an alert?

Contact your hosting provider or domain registrar. They can help you renew or reissue your SSL certificate.
